Moreover, Green Growth Africa also seek to upgrade the Green Growth Watch mobile app to serve as the mobile application for the Green Growth TV & Studios through with green growth actors and citizens in Africa can follow the activities of the channel and share new tips and reports with the channel. This is aimed at empowering citizens as green growth reporters to facilitate a people-centred approach, for inclusive and equitable access to the media. This will employ community science to facilitate citizen and civic action for green growth reporting. The mobile application will enable citizens to share news tips and capture audio-visual evidence, complemented with quantitative and qualitative narrative of green growth news including environmental right, crime, justice, among others in their localities. Citizen-documented reports submitted via the mobile application will received, reviewed, analysed and verified in the Data Analytics and Engagement Hub at the Television Station. Verified citizen reports are used for stakeholder engagement, evidence-based advocacy, news reporting and broadcasting. The mobile application will increase citizen participation in public and media discourse, strengthen civic space and advocacy for green growth in Africa
